Pōhutukawa Pathway unveiled

A mural showing a colourful, abstract journey of growth and recovery has been unveiled at Ōtautahi’s child and youth mental health outpatient unit.

19-year-old Ella Ward unveiled her vibrant artwork, The Pōhutukawa Pathway, with mental health advocate and Westpac NZ ambassador Sir John Kirwan on Friday.

The initiative was born from the #TogetherGreaterMuralProject collaboration between business partners Māia and Westpac NZ, and young artist network The Creators Room.

The mural will be moved to the new child and youth mental health outpatient space when the modern fit-for-purpose facility is completed in 2023.
