• Maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability

Financial Management

Māia Health Foundation is committed to financial transparency and accountability. We adhere to strict financial reporting standards and undergo regular audits to ensure the proper management of funds. All donations received are carefully managed and applied in accordance with donors' wishes.

Partnership with Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Canterbury

Māia Health Foundation was originally set up to administer the donations and bequests received by the Canterbury District Health Board. All donations received from grateful patients and bequests are passed through to Māia Health Foundation and we ensure they are managed and applied strictly in accordance with donors’ wishes. While we work closely with Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Canterbury, Māia Health Foundation is a separate legal entity with independent governance.
