support —

The Canterbury health system is the one of the largest in the country – and it needs your help.

Māia Health Foundation has been created to enhance this integrated health service, reaching both into the Canterbury District Health Board and out into the community because there will never be enough funds to do everything we want in health.

New Zealanders are a generous lot, and we all know that it takes a community to make a difference. Māia’s fundraising targets are bold and ambitious – they need to be, because together, we will take our health service on its transition from good to great.

We started with two vital projects for Waipapa Christchurch Hospital: a larger roof top helipad and clinical support unit and enhancements to the children's facilities.

Our current project is to raise up to $6 million for a modern, fit-for-purpose Child, Adolescent and Family outpatient facility.

Māia Health Foundation will support other projects within the wider health community, and the Foundation will keep you updated on new projects as they are established in the coming years.

Full selection criteria is currently being developed by our trustees to help Māia select projects for the long-term. Rest assured, we will be aligning ourselves to support projects that will benefit our community for future generations.
