New Zealand’s leading supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables has made a significant commitment to the health and well-being of Kiwi communities, by extending its support of the Māia Health Foundation.
MG Marketing was one of the first businesses to partner with Māia Health Foundation, becoming a Founding Business Partner in 2017. MG Marketing has now extended its business partnership with Māia for an additional five years.
MG Marketing General Manager of Communications and Sustainability Ellery Tappin says MG Marketing is passionate about the well-being of its communities.
“At MG we like to align with organisations who share our values and Māia Health Foundation is an ideal fit. The projects Māia help fund provide invaluable support to the community. By extending our partnership for a further five years, we know we are directly benefiting a huge number of people who use our health services every day,” says Ellery.
Māia Health Foundation Chief Executive Michael Flatman says they are extremely grateful for MG Marketing’s continued support.
“By committing to stand beside Māia for a further five years MG Marketing is demonstrating its significant commitment to health and well-being. As well as making a real difference for our community MG’s support will also be invaluable as Māia embarks on its next major focus – improving our child and youth mental health facilities,” says Michael.
Since its inception in 2016, Māia Health Foundation has raised more than $11 million for our health system. The funds have enabled major enhancements such as the upgrading of the rooftop helipad at Christchurch Hospital, home to the country’s busiest trauma centre, and improved child health facilities at the new Christchurch Hospital Hagley. As the official charity for the Canterbury District Health Board, Māia also facilitated a $2 million bequest for Burwood Hospital, which has enabled spinal patients from around the country to access improved facilities and specialist equipment.
