Māia Health Foundation’s current project is to help create a modern Child, Adolescent and Family outpatient space that will be a transformation of the current specialist mental health treatment facilities at The Princess Margaret Hospital and Hillmorton campus.
It will be a fit-for-purpose environment that is contemporary, welcoming and recovery-focused, and that supports the wellbeing of the children, adolescents and their whānau. A place where people feel safe and respected when accessing mental health services at any stage of their mental wellness journey.
Māia wants to shine a light on child and youth mental health and engage our communities in Canterbury to help make it better. It takes a community to care.
